In MONOPOLY GO, the Shutdown mini-game allows players to attack opponents’ properties. When you land on a Railroad tile, you have the chance to either execute a Bank Heist or a Shutdown. During a Shutdown, you can choose to attack random players, friends, or take revenge on those who have previously attacked you.
How to Change Shutdown Target
- Triggering a Shutdown: Land on a Railroad tile to initiate the Shutdown mini-game.
- Switch Opponent Button: On the Shutdown screen, you will see a “Switch Opponent” button at the bottom. Clicking this button opens a menu where you can select your target.
- Choosing Targets:
- Random Player: Select this option to attack a random player.
- Revenge Tab: This tab lists players who have attacked you recently. Choose an attacker to take revenge on them.
- Friends Tab: Attack your friends by selecting them from the friends list.
How to Choose Player Without Shields?
Observing landmarks can help you identify which players may not have shields. If their landmarks are damaged, it is likely they have no shields. However, some opponents may appear damaged but are actually bots with default shields.
Using Shield Checker App
For a more accurate method to determine which opponents don’t have shields, you can use the Shield Checker feature from the Go’Rewards app. This app allows you to connect your MONOPOLY GO account and scan opponents’ shields, providing a reliable way to choose your targets.
Strategies for Choosing Who You Attack
- Attack Damaged Properties: Target properties that appear damaged to maximize your chances of a successful attack.
- Regular Checks: Frequently check your game to maintain your shields and prevent attacks on your landmarks.
- Use Revenge Wisely: Taking revenge on players who have attacked you can be satisfying and strategically beneficial, as it ensures you are targeting active players.
